Aircocover.com is a concept conceived by the founder of ISI publishing. Aircocover.nl was born as a solution for striking and often unattractive air conditioners and heat pumps. Despite the shape and location of these devices, they do not need to stand out as much as they do now. What Aircocover.com does is taking a picture of the wall that the air conditioner is located in front of. Then, based on a target, the dimensions of the air conditioner and the pattern to be printed can be determined in order to create a cover that makes the air conditioner blend in with its background.

Project description

In the current situation, there is still a lot of manual work involved in making an A/C cover. During the first step, a technician must come to the location to take a picture of the air conditioner and wall behind it with a professional camera. Then this photo has to be manually edited to determine the actual colors of the background to finally print not only the right pattern but also the right colors on the cover. The goal of this project is for the student consultant to develop an app that can be used by Aircocover.co.uk customers to automate the process of creating an air conditioning cover.
This app will create a realistic photo through the use of a sent target and the customer’s camera. Aircocover.nl will then use this photo to determine the colors and patterns of the air conditioner’s environment in order to ultimately print a cover.
